The passing of Bob Moog has been deeply felt by the entire music community.
This is especially true for electronic musicians whose work he so directly influenced
with his creations.
I thought it would be fitting to celebrate his life with music. So, I put
out a call for submissions to several of the music making newsgroups I participate
in. If you would like to add you submission, please
email it to me and I will post it.

"I wrote something in tribute when I learned Bob was fighting off cancer."

"This is a typical "session" for me. I do not really consider myself a musician
and I usually tell people I play sound not music to save myself from utter embarrassment
trying to play something for them. When I do play I'm listening to the sound rather than focusing on a musical passage. This is me playing the Minimoog Voyager,
one channel out and processed through the Moogerfooger MF-102 Ring Mod, Moogerfooger
MF-104 Delay, and finally the Moogerfooger MF-103 Phaser. It's just me listening
to and appreciating the sound of the Moog. I just get lost in the sound, and I thank
him for this."

"I wrote this song as soon as I read the sad news about Dr.Moog. Chopin's Prelude
was an inspiration here and the song is about my sadness with the lost of a friend
I never meet."
Andrew Sanchez
"'Through the Years' was recorded on a Fostex 8-track. Two tracks were relegated
for the drums, and the other six are all Memorymoog."
"'Use the Source' was my first song recorded on a computer. It's a Moog Source on
all tracks except for the drums. "

In tribute to the sad death of Bob Moog I have produced a track in Bob's honour
written soley using the only Moog equipment I could muster - which is the Arturia
Moog Modular and Minimoog softsynths. Speech samples came from a Moog demo disc
and from the good Dr. himself that suppliment the raw (virtual) analogue power of
Moog. Bob will only truly die when we have all forgotten him - not likely!

"I used a Minimoog, SCI Six Track, and Elka Wilgamat."
